The Islands
The three mains islands that we visit are Garden Island, Carnac Island and the local’s favourite holiday destination - Rottnest Island.

Rottnest Island
With numerous secluded bays of crystal clear turquoise water the island offers a huge range of water activities including swimming, fishing, surfing, diving, beach combing and snorkeling. It’s no surprise that Rottnest Island is one of Western Australia’s most popular holiday destinations all year round.

Garden Island
Captain James Stirling first landed on Garden Island in 1827 and founded the first European Settlement in Western Australia. The island is now home to HMAS Stirling Naval Base. Access to the Island is only by boat and only 2/3 of the island is open to the public. Garden Island has beautiful beaches and bays and is an ideal location for swimming, fishing, surfing and sailing. Also, look out for the native Tammar - a small species of Wallaby that lives on Garden Island.

Carnac Island
Carnac Island is a wildlife reserve. The island is located less than 10km from Fremantle and enjoys a Mediterranean style climate. The Leeuwin Current provides a warm body of water that surrounds the Island. There are many unique and wonderful species of wildlife regularly encountered including Sea Lions, Dolphins, Whales, Stingrays and many species of tropical and sub-tropical fish. Also Sea Eagles, Albatross and various other species of seabirds.
